2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. When you request a quote, complete a contact form, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect:

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we collect limited technical and usage information through cookies and similar technologies, including:

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or full medical history through this website. Information of that type is collected only through secure enrollment platforms operated by insurance carriers or state exchanges, not through swinsures.com.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use the following tracking technologies on swinsures.com. Each is described by name, purpose, and how to opt out.

3.1 Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (property ID G-TPET6R48X7), provided by Google LLC, to understand aggregated traffic patterns and how visitors use our website. GA4 uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect information such as pages viewed, session duration, device type, and referral source. We have configured GA4 with IP anonymization where supported and have enabled Google Consent Mode v2 so that analytics storage is denied by default until you provide consent or your browser indicates a Global Privacy Control signal.

You can learn more at Google’s Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On, or you can decline analytics on our site directly through our cookie banner or on the Your Privacy Choices page.

3.2 Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity (project ID wl0uye3ogs), provided by Microsoft Corporation, to capture aggregated behavioral data such as scroll depth, mouse movement, click patterns, and session replays. Clarity helps us identify usability issues and improve our website. Clarity may capture session recordings; sensitive form fields are automatically masked.

Clarity is gated behind your consent on this site. If you decline analytics, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Clarity is not loaded or its consent is denied. Learn more at Microsoft’s Privacy Statement.

3.3 Other Technologies

We use first-party cookies and local storage to remember your privacy choices on this site. These functional cookies are not used for advertising or analytics and are necessary for the site to function as intended. We do not use advertising pixels, retargeting tags, or social-media tracking pixels on swinsures.com.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely to:

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not share your information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

Although we do not sell personal information for money, some U.S. state privacy laws (including in Maryland, Virginia, and others) define “sale” or “sharing” broadly to include the use of advertising pixels and certain cross-site analytics. We do not knowingly engage in “sales” or “sharing” as defined by those laws. You can confirm or change your preferences at Your Privacy Choices.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have one or more of the following rights regarding your personal information. We extend these rights to all visitors to swinsures.com, regardless of state of residence, as a matter of practice.

These rights are provided under, among other laws, the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act (MODPA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), and similar state privacy laws. Federal law and the laws of your state may give you additional or different rights.

7. How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of the rights described above, you can:

We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within forty-five (45) days, with one possible extension of an additional forty-five (45) days when reasonably necessary. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests, and we may decline a request if we cannot reasonably verify the requester or if an exception applies under law. If we deny your request, we will explain why and inform you of your right to appeal. To appeal, reply to our denial within thirty (30) days with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.”

You may also authorize an agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification.

8. Opt-Out Mechanisms

You can opt out of analytics tracking on this site in any of the following ways:

9. Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children under the age of thirteen (13). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us at info@swinsures.com and we will promptly delete that information.

If you are between thirteen (13) and seventeen (17), you should review this Privacy Policy with a parent or guardian before providing personal information.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services to you and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations. As an insurance brokerage, we are subject to recordkeeping requirements that generally require retention of client records for at least seven (7) years from the date of the last transaction. After applicable retention periods expire, we securely delete or de-identify the information.

11. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. These include encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all data submitted through our website, multi-factor authentication on broker accounts, vetted vendor platforms with their own security programs (Zoho, Google Workspace, Microsoft, RingCentral, Netlify), and an internal written data security policy.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information using reasonable safeguards, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

In the event of a data breach affecting your information, we will provide notice in accordance with applicable state breach-notification laws, including those of Maryland, Virginia, and Georgia.

12. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, including insurance carrier portals and government healthcare exchanges. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party website you visit.

13. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers transmit a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no industry standard for how websites respond to DNT signals, so we do not rely on DNT. Instead, we recognize the more recent Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out, as described in Section 8.

14. International Visitors

SWInsures operates in the United States and serves residents of Georgia, Maryland, and Virginia. If you are visiting our website from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, which may have data protection laws different from those of your country.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our service offerings, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as a banner on our homepage). We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
